Critic #2: Marco
Marco says that the overall color seems to be consistent to that of my color model. He would recommend to add a header in the yellow sections because he feels as if from a readers point of view, people would just skip reading the timeline in general without any context. In opposite to Solayman, Marco prefers more of the purple lines rather than the yellow lines.
With your feedback, I have altered my header with the years and incorporated a 'title' to provide a bit of context to what the description is about. I have not changed the colors of my lines, but however, changed the color of dots.

Critic #1: Wobin
Wobin seems like really enjoy my revised timeline graphic a lot more compared to the original version primarily because I incorporated icons onto it. The color model seems to be consistent to that of my color model. One thing Wobin would improve on this revised version is to really think about the spacing, because some areas are more cluttered and some areas are more empty. Maybe, have a well space description matching each time event.
Given your revisions, I have somewhat fized the spacing of my timeline, by eliminating some of the text form the descriptions. By eliminating words form the description allows me to drag and move specific sections to create a less cluttered space.

Critic #2: Hannah
Hannah also liked the revision version more than the original because there are icons included to give some context for the description and also because the original version just had text and it was a bit overwhelming. Her advice to give was to maybe add more icons onto the laters years and creating space between each timeline event. Also, she suggests to eliminate some of the word count to create even spaces between each time event.
Given your critiques, I have included more icons onto the later years. It gives a nicer flow by adding more context to its description. I have eliminated my word count to a lower amount because of what you and other people said; too cluttered.

Critic #1: Solayman
Solayman critiques that he likes the overall timeline. He says that he noticed that I took a part of the zigzag line and creating a timeline off it. The color seems to be consistent. He recommends to have yellow lines because too much purple is used in it. The typography seems to be consistent.
Given your critique, I have not changed the color of my lines, but instead changed the color of the dots because the yellow line provides a weird display.

Critic #3: Miranda
Miranda critiques that overall, there are a lot of words onto the timeline, making it too clustered and should decrease the word count like what the previous people said. She also suggested to move the header title from the years and place it under as its own header so people could easily read more.
I can understand that with too much words, gives the reader and overwhelming amount of text to read. Because of that, I have removed most of my words, and only highlighting the most important ones in efforts for readers to be less overwhelmed.

Critique 1 Message & Emulation

This display shows the relationship displays for my infographic. This display Kobes vague timeline throughout his life and his professional career. It gives an insight to what Kobe has accomplished and how he is the professional player we know today by highlight key times in his period that made him a legend.

How this element exploits the visual potential of time. In attempt to make create a consistent visual layout to my models, I have used the same bar graphs, circles, and also round rectangles in effort to combine these visual content and display it onto my timeline. I included lines and also pictures to the right because it follows a consistent theme in my visual language model. Also, the color use for the line was slightly opaque compared to the guide marker.

How this element emulates the models: I had used the same or similar font as the existing info graphic in my typography model. I used Myriad Pro, a similar looking font to use on the title. I have created a larger font to indicate the date. Currently, the year font is bigger than that of the description because I want the viewer to look at the year in which Kobe accomplished these milestones.

Critic #3: Justin
Justin overall, enjoys the 1st timeline more because it uses more colors other than just purple. He suggest to probably combine both yellow and purple for the points to make it 'less dull' and to make it stand out more. He also suggest to included a brief header onto the year page to fill in more space and to provide context to the time description before reading. He likes the fills of the first one and how I used an icon for each timeline, but suggest to change the icon to accurately show what the time of event is about.
Given your feedback and the suggestions you gave, I have given my points an added color to make it less dull. I have also included a 'title' instead of a brief description because there would be too many words for the viewer to see. I have also included icons that corresponds to that of each event.

Time Elements & Critiques
Final Display Message & Emulation

I want to users to see what Kobe the key events of Kobe's professional and personal career that created the man that everybody loves today. It will show you various aspects of time in his life that are key to his future actions. I did this by using a timeline as a sequence to represent time from the beginning of the life, towards the end. Also, I have used patterns of line treatment to match that of my visual language and to present each event. I have also included small pictures or shapes to make the viewer understand what each event represents by glancing at the text.

For my time display, I have used a timeline to highlight the important key events in Kobe’s life that got to where he is today. I wanted to show the the significant time periods where his professional career escalates one event after another. Essentially what it shows is the catalyst of his pre-professional career towards his retirement and making a legend out of himself as the years progressed. Each event is encoded by having a circle on the timeline and is extended upwards or downwards that will lead a a brief description of the event.

This emulated my models because it follows the same general color to that of my color model. Because Kobe's team colors are purple and yelow, it was rather easy making it consistent. Also for my visual language model, I have used a section of the bar lines to represent a time within Kobe's career that showed importance. Because that bar line had a lower opacity, I have also to make it more consistent with my visual language model, lowered the opacity of the purple line to make it more yellow.
